Postcard #7
The End of the Road Draws Near
If you’ve been following this series, you know all of these road-log-blog-ish posts are leading up to an event, that until now, I have had little to share.
While Substack decides if it is going to crash and burn the writing community it’s built for by force-feeding users anti-creativity-tech, join me in avoiding it for a while in preparation for Lessons From The Road:
I am thrilled to share the Worcester Public Library is officially partnering with me to support and promote Lessons From The Road, a free day-long learning opportunity for writers, artists, and community leaders - active and aspiring - in central Massachusetts.
You’ll find me on Saturday, November 14 2026 in the Banx room all day giving back-to-back workshop/hands-on presentations on poetry slams, community space building, empowering writers and addressing the direct and specific needs of our city’s creative scene.
My only ask is that you register in advance! I am currently writing this announcement from inside the Banx room, the same place these workshops will take place, where I have 20 seats around me open to the public. You can come for all four or just the workshop session(s) that interest you the most, and can expect a mix of activities and lessons from each session.

The Postcards From The Road project is supported in part by a grant from the Worcester Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
